Easter Weekend

Well now...a big hello to everyone out there and I hope that you have had a fabulous Easter weekend!  We are coming off quite a stretch of holidays out in these parts, and the kids were totally ready for a well deserved break.  It's a long stretch now until summer holidays and I am sure that a count down will be in order very soon.  There is a lot (and I mean A LOT) to look forward to in the coming months, but first, and Easter weekend re-cap.
It has been an unusually warm winter out here in the west, with very little by way of snow.  One of our most treasured spots, which usually has snow banks to the roof tops, hasn't even a trace of the white stuff.  This being Waterton, and that is exactly how we spent our Good Friday.  A road trip down to our favourite park!

In fact, the crew was able to scooter right down the main street!  Not a typical scene for April in these parts.

The playground was clear. Usually the swings are sitting in about three feet of snow!

The lakeshore was accessible which meant an early start to the hunt for heart rocks!   And speaking of searching, we were even able to squeeze in a little geocaching!

Easter proved to be a tonne of fun with the Easter Bunny making it a little more difficult to hunt down those eggs!

However, the kids persevered and each and every egg was tracked down and accounted for.

A fairly busy weekend, but all in all a great way to spend a few days off.  Time in our favourite spot and just hanging around the house relaxing.  The kids are well rested and are ready to tackle the next three months ahead. It won't be long before camping season is upon us!!
