9 years old

Yep...nine.  Nine years old!  Wow!  We celebrated a big birthday yesterday, Aidan.  Lots of family members and friends were on hand to help celebrate this big day.  There was a big dinner, cupcakes, giggles, games of mini sticks, hide-and-seek with Nerf bullets, and lots (and I mean LOTS) of Lego building.  A perfect birthday in my mind if you ask me!

You may remember the tradition that Aidan has on his birthday, or any special occasion for that matter....is the wearing of his white button up shirt, and in this case, a poppy in honour of Remembrance Day.   Not much has changed....just his sleeves are a little shorter and the shirt not as long.  Still as handsome as ever!

He holds the same excitement...

A LOVE for anything and everything LEGO...

And an even greater love for chocolate cupcakes! 

His excitement levels were off the chart yesterday, and for most of this past weekend for that matter, and if there is one thing about Aidan that I love....it has to be how darn cute he is when he gets this excited!
